How Is Pellet Feed Made?
Pelletizing is a mechanical process that includes pushing soft feed through slits in a metal ring-type die of a pellet machine. These openings could be square or round, tapered or not. 

As friction builds, single or dual rolls mounted on a cam or eccentric rotate on a rotating shaft. (due to the presence of feed between roll and die). In order to reveal tightly packed layers of feed mixture upon dissection of a completed pellet, feed is forced through the die holes in increments. 

The rolls only rotate when contact forms between the feed between the rolls and the die, which is powered by a motor.
