Requirements

1 cup uncooked Basmati parboiled long grain rice
1/2 tablespoon salt
1 teaspoon olive oil
7 ½ cup water for rinsing & cooking
Cooking pan
Sieve for rinsing

Steps / Method

None sticky kind of rice is perfect to be used in fried rice and biryanis.
 
  1. Rinse the rice properly to remove all the impurities excess starch.
  2. After the rice is adequately rinsed, transfer it into another bowl now add enough water; let it soak for 15 to 20minutes this also helps to remove extra starch and when cooked the rice will not be sticky or mushy
  3. Start boiling water
  4. After soaking the rice for 20minutes, it is essential to drain it thoroughly
  5. Add the drained rice to the boiling
  6. Now the secret ingredient which will prevent the rice from being sticky is a few drops of lemon juice. Adding lemon juice while cooking rice will not only prevent the rice from being sticky but will also make it appear whiter on the dinner plate.
  7. A few drops of oil instead of adding lemon juice will also prevent the rice from being sticky.
  8. Add a little salt to the rice and mix it gently
  9. Cook the rice for about ten minutes until you can see the rice is perfectly cooked
  10. Now stream the rice, you can see the rice is cooked, light fluffy, and every grain is separate.
