Keep product stock accurate

Accurate stock is essential for a trustworthy marketplace. A buyer should not order a product that you already know is unavailable.

Update stock when

• A product is sold through Upfrica.
• A product is sold through another channel.
• New units arrive.
• Units are damaged, reserved or returned.
• A supplier confirms that stock is no longer available.

For one-off and used items

• Set the quantity to one.
• Mark the listing unavailable immediately after sale.
• Do not reuse the listing for a different item with different condition.

For supplier or dropship stock

• Check availability frequently.
• Do not assume the supplier still has stock.
• Allow realistic fulfilment time.
• Inform buyers quickly when supplier stock changes.
