Seller AcademyUpdated 13 July 2026
A product description should help the buyer understand exactly what they will receive.
Include the important facts
- What the product is used for.
- Brand, model and key specifications.
- Size, dimensions, capacity or compatibility.
- Condition and any visible defects.
- What is included in the package.
- Warranty information, where genuinely available.
For used products
- Describe scratches, damage or missing accessories.
- State whether the battery, screen and major functions work.
- Use current photographs of the actual item.
- Do not describe a used item as new.
Make the description easy to scan
- Use short paragraphs.
- Use bullet points for specifications.
- Put the most important information first.
- Avoid copying long manufacturer text that does not apply.
Important
The listing must not hide faults or promise features the product does not have.
