Your shop profile is one of the first things buyers may see before deciding whether to view your products or contact you. Complete it with clear, accurate information that represents your business.

Choose a clear shop name

Use a name that buyers can recognise, remember and trust.

  • Use your registered business name where applicable.
  • Individual sellers may use a genuine trading or shop name.
  • Keep the name short and easy to spell.
  • Avoid unnecessary symbols, phone numbers or promotional claims.

Good examples:

  • Ama’s Fashion Store
  • Rays Electronics
  • Accra Home Essentials

Select the correct shop type

Choose the option that best describes the main products your shop sells. This helps Upfrica place your shop in relevant areas and helps buyers find you more easily.

Select the closest available shop type. You can update it later if your business changes.

Write a useful short introduction

Your short introduction should quickly explain what you sell, where you operate and whether delivery or collection is available.

Example:

We sell phones, laptops and accessories in Accra, with delivery and pickup available.

A good introduction may include:

  • Your main product categories
  • Your town, city or service area
  • Delivery or collection availability
  • A simple reason buyers should consider your shop

Avoid vague descriptions such as “We sell everything” or claims that cannot be verified.

Add a working WhatsApp or mobile number

Enter a number that you check regularly. Upfrica may use it for account checks, buyer support, delivery communication and seller assistance.

  • Select the correct country before entering the number.
  • Check that every digit is correct.
  • Use a number that belongs to you or your authorised business.
  • Replace the number promptly if it is no longer active.
Important

Phone-number approval does not guarantee sales. Buyers are more likely to respond to sellers who also provide accurate listings, fair prices, clear photos and reliable service.

Add your shop branding

A logo and banner are optional during the first setup, but they can make your shop look more professional.

  • Use a clear square image for your logo.
  • Use a wide image for your banner.
  • Do not upload blurry, misleading or unrelated images.
  • Only use logos and images you own or have permission to use.

Choose a readable background colour

Select a colour that suits your shop while keeping text and product information easy to read. Avoid colours that make the storefront difficult to use.

Review your details before saving

  • Check the spelling of your shop name.
  • Confirm that the selected shop type is correct.
  • Make sure your introduction clearly explains what you sell.
  • Confirm that your phone number is active.
  • Preview your logo and banner before uploading them.
Keep your shop accurate

Update your shop details whenever your business name, product range, location or contact number changes.
