Products you cannot sell

Understand the main prohibited and restricted product groups on Upfrica.

Upfrica does not permit products or services that are illegal, dangerous, exploitative or incompatible with marketplace and payment-provider requirements.

Prohibited examples include

  • Weapons, firearms, ammunition and explosives.
  • Stun guns and other prohibited self-defence weapons.
  • Illegal drugs and controlled substances.
  • Counterfeit, stolen or unlawfully copied goods.
  • Sexual services and prohibited adult products.
  • Human body parts, remains and unsafe medical waste.
  • Dangerous chemicals, toxins and hazardous materials.
  • Products that exploit or endanger children.

Some products may require extra review

  • Medical and health-related products.
  • Financial products and services.
  • Age-restricted products.
  • Products requiring licences or regulatory approval.
  • High-risk electrical, chemical or safety equipment.

Before listing an uncertain item

  • Check the current Upfrica prohibited-items policy.
  • Check the law in the country where the item will be sold.
  • Provide licences or compliance evidence when requested.
  • Contact support before publishing a high-risk item.
Important

A product can be removed even if similar products appear elsewhere online. Sellers remain responsible for legal and marketplace compliance.
