A verified phone number helps protect your account, supports buyer communication and increases confidence in your seller profile.
Use the correct number
- Enter the number with the correct country code.
- Use a number that belongs to you or your authorised business.
- Make sure the number can receive calls, SMS or WhatsApp where required.
- Set your main business number as the primary number.
During verification
- Follow the OTP or manual verification instructions.
- Do not share verification codes with anyone.
- Respond accurately if Upfrica contacts you to confirm ownership.
After verification
- Keep the number active.
- Update Upfrica before abandoning or replacing the number.
- Report any verification activity you did not request.
Important
Upfrica staff should never ask you for your password. Never share an OTP unless you initiated the verification.
