Upfrica Affiliate Programme Terms

Effective 27 September 2026

Version 1 Β· Published 27 September 2026

These terms govern participation in the Upfrica Affiliate Programme for Ghana. They apply to approved promoters whose Upfrica account country is Ghana. The programme allows eligible promoters to share tracked links to selected Upfrica products and receive commission on qualifying purchases.

1. Joining the programme

To apply, you must have an Upfrica account with an assigned country, verified email address and verified phone number. You must provide a valid referral code, identify at least one intended promotion channel and accept the current published Affiliate Programme Terms for Ghana.

Submitting an application does not guarantee approval. Upfrica may approve an application, request additional information or reject it. You may begin qualifying promotion only when your affiliate profile has been approved and activated.

To confirm before publication: Minimum age, any residency requirement and any additional identity-verification requirements.

2. Eligible links and products

Commission is available only for products that Upfrica has marked as eligible for affiliate promotion. Product eligibility may depend on its published status, availability, checkout method, approved campaign, campaign dates and remaining campaign budget.

You must use an eligible affiliate link. A product becoming unavailable, a campaign ending or a link being disabled may prevent later purchases from earning commission.

A link to one product does not earn commission on unrelated products purchased in the same basket.

3. Ghana-only promotion

The Ghana programme is for qualifying domestic transactions. To earn commission, the promoter's account country, the product's listing country, the product's dispatch country and the buyer's delivery country must all be Ghana. Checkout must use the Ghana market currency, GHS.

Cross-border purchases do not qualify for Ghana affiliate commission, even if a link can still be opened or the order itself can proceed.

4. Tracking and attribution

Upfrica records eligible affiliate clicks using its tracking system. An order must be placed within 30 days of the latest valid tracked click to qualify for attribution. Payment may be completed later without restarting that window.

When multiple valid affiliate clicks exist, the latest qualifying click is considered before the order is attributed. Once an order has been attributed, a later click does not transfer that order to another promoter.

Merely sharing a link, generating clicks or attracting visitors does not create commission. Commission requires a qualifying product purchase, successful payment and satisfaction of the programme's other eligibility conditions.

A manually entered referral code or unverified tracking information does not, by itself, establish commission entitlement.

5. Commission rates and calculation

There is no single commission percentage for every product. The applicable rate is determined by the eligible product or its approved affiliate campaign. Rates and eligibility can differ between products and campaigns.

Commission is calculated on the qualifying merchandise amount actually paid for the promoted product, after applicable discounts. Shipping, duties, taxes and platform fees are excluded from the commission base.

The applicable rate and funding allocation are recorded against the attributed order item. Later changes to a campaign do not automatically change that recorded rate for the existing item.

Campaign budgets can limit or prevent additional commission. Where a discount cannot be reliably allocated to the purchased items, the current system does not award affiliate commission on that order.

To confirm before publication: Whether the business accepts the current rule that an unallocatable order-level discount prevents commission for the entire order.

6. When earnings become available

Commission initially appears as pending after a qualifying payment. It does not become withdrawable merely because the buyer has paid.

Order completion must first be confirmed, either through buyer receipt confirmation or the applicable automatic-completion process. The current programme then applies a seven-day review period after completion before an otherwise eligible commission becomes available.

An open dispute or unresolved refund may keep commission pending for longer. The dashboard distinguishes pending, available, reversed and paid activity.

7. Refunds, cancellations and reversals

If a qualifying product is cancelled, returned or refunded, its related commission may be reduced or reversed. Partial and item-specific merchandise refunds affect the commission attributable to the refunded merchandise.

A refund relating only to shipping, or to a different product in the basket, does not by itself reverse commission on the promoted product.

If a refund cannot yet be matched to particular merchandise, commission may remain on hold while the transaction is reviewed.

A reversal can occur after commission has been paid. The current system records a corresponding negative adjustment against the promoter's subsequent affiliate balance.

To confirm before publication: Whether a negative balance may only be offset against future earnings, or whether Upfrica will have any separate recovery right.

8. Payouts

A promoter may request withdrawal of a positive available affiliate balance, subject to account eligibility and review. Payouts are currently handled manually rather than through an automatic transfer schedule.

Supported payout details are a bank account or mobile money account. The promoter must provide the required account name, account number and relevant bank or mobile money network details.

Submitting a payout request does not mean the transfer has already been completed. A failed or cancelled payout is returned to the applicable balance.

To confirm before publication: Any payout fees, payment-time commitment, minimum withdrawal amount, tax treatment and arrangements for previously earned balances after suspension or departure.

9. Self-referrals and promotional conduct

You cannot earn affiliate commission by purchasing through your own referral or promoting products that you own or sell. Orders must satisfy the programme's tracking and transaction checks.

Promoters must describe products truthfully and must not falsely claim to represent Upfrica, mislead buyers about prices or guarantees, or present a paid referral as an independent recommendation. Promoters should make their commission-earning relationship clear when sharing promotional content.

Promoters must comply with applicable laws and the rules of the channels they use. These promotional-conduct requirements are proposed programme obligations and are subject to final approval.

10. Suspension and campaign changes

Upfrica may review an affiliate profile and may request further information, reject an application or suspend an approved profile. Suspension prevents new qualifying promotion and attribution through that profile.

Individual affiliate links may be disabled. Product campaigns may also be paused, ended or made ineligible when their conditions are no longer met.

Suspension or publication of revised terms does not, by itself, delete previously recorded earnings. Existing earnings remain subject to the transaction, refund, dispute and payout rules applicable to them.

To confirm before publication: The grounds and process for permanent programme termination and the treatment of unpaid earnings when an account is suspended or closed.

11. Terms acceptance and changes

New applicants must expressly accept the current published Ghana terms. Upfrica records the version accepted, its content identifier and the time of acceptance.

If a new version is published, existing acceptance is not automatically transferred to it. An approved promoter can review the new version and expressly accept it through the affiliate profile.

Under the current programme implementation, an already-approved promoter is not automatically prevented from promoting or earning solely because a newer version has not yet been accepted. Publication of a new version also does not change commission already attributed to earlier orders.

To confirm before publication: Whether continued promotion should eventually require reacceptance, what notice will be given and how the stated legal effective date relates to the publication date.

12. Personal information

Programme administration involves account details, promotion activity, tracked clicks, transaction and commission records, payout details and records of terms acceptance. Personal information must be handled in accordance with applicable data protection requirements and Upfrica's privacy documentation.

Promoters must not obtain or misuse buyers' personal information through unauthorised means.

13. Questions and account records

Promoters should use their affiliate dashboard to review links, activity, earnings and payout records. Questions about attribution, commission or payment should be directed to Upfrica through its official support channels.

This document applies to the Ghana Affiliate Programme only. Participation in another market requires that market to operate its own programme under its own applicable terms.
