Product photo rules

Understand which images are acceptable and which images can mislead buyers.

Product images must accurately represent the listing and must be safe and lawful to publish.

Acceptable images

  • Original photographs of the item.
  • Manufacturer images used with permission.
  • Images showing included accessories.
  • Images clearly showing product condition.

Images to avoid

  • Photos copied from another seller without permission.
  • Images of a different model, colour or condition.
  • Images containing prohibited or unsafe content.
  • Images dominated by phone numbers or external payment instructions.
  • Heavily edited images that hide the true condition.
Important

A listing may be rejected or removed when its images are misleading, unlawful or unrelated to the product.
