Set product delivery options

Choose a delivery profile and configure product-specific delivery, pickup, quote, digital and preparation settings.

Seller AcademyUpdated 13 July 2026

A delivery profile contains your reusable delivery areas, methods and prices. A product listing normally uses that profile, but you can adjust individual products when their delivery requirements are different.

Choose the product delivery type

Normal delivery
Use a saved delivery profile and its configured delivery areas and prices.
Heavy delivery
Use for bulky or heavy products that need special handling.
Fragile delivery
Use when the item needs extra protection or careful transport.
Chilled delivery
Use when temperature-controlled or rapid fulfilment is required.
Pickup only
The buyer must collect the product from an agreed pickup point.
Delivery quote
The delivery cost must be confirmed before checkout or order acceptance.
Digital product
No physical delivery or pickup is required.

Select a delivery profile

  • Choose the profile whose origin, coverage and delivery methods apply to the product.
  • Use the default profile when its settings are suitable.
  • Create or edit profiles from delivery settings.
  • Do not select a profile that cannot serve the product’s location.

Use profile prices

  • Choose the profile-default option when the normal delivery prices apply.
  • The buyer’s destination is matched to an eligible profile area.
  • The configured delivery method and fee are then used at checkout.

Adjust delivery for this product

  • Use a positive adjustment when this product costs more to deliver.
  • Use a negative adjustment when this product costs less to deliver.
  • Use zero when the profile price should remain unchanged.
  • Apply destination-specific adjustments only where necessary.
  • Keep the final price realistic and non-misleading.

Additional-unit delivery fee

  • Use this when adding another unit increases delivery cost.
  • Enter the extra fee for each additional unit where applicable.
  • Use zero or leave it empty when multiple units do not create an extra charge.

Preparation and fulfilment time

  • Enter the minimum number of preparation days.
  • Enter the maximum number of preparation days.
  • The maximum cannot be lower than the minimum.
  • Use longer times for made-to-order, sourced or personalised products.
  • Do not include preparation time for a digital product unless your digital process genuinely requires it.

Delivery notes

  • Add only useful product-specific delivery information.
  • Explain unusual handling or access requirements.
  • Do not repeat the entire delivery profile.
  • Do not add hidden charges in the note.

International delivery

  • Use an eligible international delivery profile.
  • Confirm that the destination coverage and prices are correct.
  • Add product-specific international adjustments only when needed.
  • International buyer visibility may depend on Upfrica approval.

How checkout uses the settings

  1. Upfrica checks the product delivery type.
  2. It checks the selected delivery profile.
  3. It matches the buyer’s destination to an active delivery configuration.
  4. It applies the profile delivery price.
  5. It adds the product-wide adjustment where applicable.
  6. It applies a destination-specific adjustment where one exists.
  7. It adds any additional-unit fee for extra quantities.
Important

Product-level adjustments change only this listing. Edit the delivery profile when the standard price or coverage should change for many products.
